Career Summary
Rick Betourne graduated from the University of New Hampshire with a Political Science/Military Studies degree. He was commissioned as an Officer in the United States Army in the Air Defense Artillery that was stationed in Germany while the Berlin Wall went down. He is a George C. Marshall Award winner at UNH, recognized as the Most Outstanding Cadet in the Army ROTC program — where he was also fortunate enough to meet his wife of 31 years.
After transitioning out of the military, he began a career in the trucking business working in various positions ranging from Night Operations manager, Regional Planner, On-site Logistics manager, Operations Manager, and Regional Operations Manager.
Rick is involved in various community activities including: Make-A-Wish Volunteer Wish Granter, State of Virginia certified Foster Parent, Little League Baseball Coach and Umpire, the voice of the VISAA Baseball Tournament, and various church activities. Rick and his wife have 3 biological children, 1 adopted and a grandson.
