Robert is experienced in all aspects of transportation, specializing in the intermodal industry since 1994. As former Co-Owner and current Division president, he manages the day-to-day operations with partner Tim McGrath, focusing on sales, account retention, operations, safety, and maintenance. Robert is accomplished in capturing new business, including a large car manufacturer and several large export accounts, helping grow the company from a four-tractor / seven-employee team to 82 tractors and 100+ employees.
Career History
Before joining Vision, Robert became the first-ever management trainee for Allied Waste(later Republic Services). He learned all aspects of transportation, from CDL driver and heavy equipment repair and maintenance to sales, dispatch, and management. Robert spent his last year with Allied as the assistant to the VP for East Coast landfill operations before joining the Vision Logistics team in December of 2005.
Robert and his wife Kary have two children who are active in several sports and clubs. Robert officiates small college basketball in his “spare” time, being chosen to officiate the NAIA national basketball tournament from 2018-2021, and working the NAIA Championship game in Kansas City in 2021.
