Thursday, April 1st, 2021 Ron Drier retires from the Tri Pak family after 20 plus years of a great work ethic and can-do attitude. He began with two facilities and no trucks and grew to six facilities with twenty trucks. Tri Pak is a division of Total Transportation Services (TTSI) in the Pacific Northwest.
Ron started in the transportation business driving trucks across 48 states, BC and Alaska. When it was time to get off the road, warehousing and 3PL was a natural fit with the contacts he'd developed over the years.
What do you like best about working for the company?
"As a "Type A" personality person, I like the fast pace and problem-solving required on a short to no notice basis. In this business, there is never a dull moment and always a new challenge to tackle. I like working with project and volume cargo - offering our customers a truly one-stop experience for all of their import and export requirements."
What will he miss most?
"I will miss the people that I have worked with the most. Hopefully, I have been able to impart and share the experience I have gained over the years, so they will carry on the can-do attitude that we pride ourselves on."
Ron is a U.S. Navy Vietnam Veteran and a member of several Veteran Service Organizations. He has two children he can't believe are pushing 50 and 4 grandkids, one being a Senior at Central Washington State University; yikes!!
What are your plans for retirement?
"I plan to play some really bad golf, spend winters in warm climates, and work with Military Veteran Groups - a cause near and dear to me. I will volunteer at our local food banks and have always wanted to volunteer at Special Olympic events but couldn't make the timing work. I have been fortunate to be able to attend Special Ed. Basketball games and events. The smiles and unmitigated joy of these people are beyond rewarding."
