EXP's GPS Your Future is an annual career discovery event introducing career paths to nearly 800 high school students from all over Southern California. Here, they get to explore their futures, consider new opportunities, and find mentors in high growth industries from local and regional employers like Total Transportation Services (TTSI).
This year's event was held on October 25, 2019, at Long Beach City College. Throughout the half-day event, students participated in a career expo, hands-on technology demonstrations, and breakout speaker sessions where industry professionals shared their career journeys.
Tony Williamson, Ryan Sickles, and Victor La Rosa presented paths to a career in transportation with TTSI - from education to expectation. We also demonstrated our goal towards sustainability, and the cutting edge technology used to achieve zero and near-zero emission trucks. TTSI displayed two Class 8 Battery Electric trucks at the event for students to learn about the technology, get behind the wheel, and explore.
Total Transportation Services has long been a participant in EXP's GPS Your Future program, with Tony Williamson, TTSI's Director of Sustainability, on the board. It means a lot for us to give back to the community, provide opportunities, and inspired the next generation workforce to be successful and grow.
