Last Saturday, West Group Logistics held its Driver Safety Meeting in Las Vegas. It marked the first anniversary of expanding into the Las Vegas region and kicked off the company's nationwide driver appreciation week.
Safety on the road is a top priority. We rigorously train our drivers in safety protocols and use state-of-the-art safety technology. Trooper Travis Smaka, Public Information and Education Officer with the Nevada Highway Patrol Southern Command, delivered the keynote address and presentation on highway safety.
Other topics covered included conducting proper pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, ELD compliance, Drivewyze technology, Lytx Event Recorders, Sentix Pro Tread online safety training, slip-resistant safety shoes, portable spill kits usage & company safety incentives.
