Sierra Transport's History
Sierra Transport began in 1973 as Lutrel Trucking, a family-owned transportation company specializing in rock, oil, and hazardous waste clean-ups.
In 1998, Lutrel created Sierra Transport to expand service into the biosolid transport industry. As a certified woman-owned business (the “Ma” of our Ma & Pa Operation), they could also deliver the diversity goals of their customers.
Located in Bakersfield, a significant hub for both agriculture and energy production in California, Sierra Transport is central to both the municipalities it serves and the industries it supports.
Sierra Transport is an asset-based transportation company with the right equipment for the job. We are CARB compliant and meet 100% of all legal requirements so that we can provide continuous service.
Safety is a top priority. Our trucks and trailers are properly maintained to provide the safe transport of all materials, and our truck drivers receive regular safety and procedural training.
