Friday, November 19th, Total Transportation Services (TTSI) hosted a tour at our Port of Los Angeles Customs House Facility in San Pedro in the Port of Los Angeles to sixteen USC students learning about the resiliency of the supply chain.
The class, taught by Professor Eric C Shen, PE, PTP, is a graduate-level transportation planning class at the USC's Sol Price School of Public Policy. The tour allowed the students to connect their classroom study with the actual field conditions.
"Our students have been studying many issues along the supply chain," says Professor Chen. "It will be an invaluable learning experience for them to witness the actual freight handling."
TTSI is delighted to provide students with real-world experience to cultivate excitement in the field of transportation. We often work with schools and universities and currently have onsite jobs training for individuals graduating from supply chain programs. TTSI Director of Compliance and Sustainability, Tony Williamson, led the tour.
